That is one of the reasons the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce has formed a Beautification Committee, chaired by Harry Agnew.

The goal of the Committee is to beautify Laurens County through quarterly Clean-ups, litter/recycling education, beautification projects and more. This is accomplished with the help of our proud community partners including individuals, churches, businesses, social groups, City and County Leaders and many other concerned citizens. Through everyone's hard work, over 100,000 lbs of trash was collected in 2011 and we are aiming even higher for 2012.

Our next Quarterly Clean-up day is Saturday May 19 from 8AM-12PM. Would you like to get involved to help beautify our community? If so, contact Sandra Alexander with the Chamber at 864-833-2716 or by email at salexander@laurenscounty.org.
